Tante Anne

A managed service for care homes · Austria

Residents keep using their abilities and remain involved in everyday life.

Each participating resident gets an assigned tablet with personal music as the first activity. Caregivers manage every device from one station tablet. The home gets one managed service.

One care station, counted. Each figure is one participating resident. Each tablet is one assigned device. Six are drawn for illustration; package bands are tested with the first homes.

Who is involved

The home buys. Residents use it. Caregivers deliver it. Relatives may contribute, but nothing depends on them.

Buyer

Care homes and operators

Management purchases one managed package per station and decides on continuation after a pilot.

Uses it

Older residents

Residents who need easier access to activities, including people with dementia.

Delivers it

Caregivers

Care-station staff who keep devices ready and support residents.

Optional

Relatives

Family and trusted companions who can add preferences and context. Drawn in outline: the first experience works without them.

Three questions in five minutes

That is the whole setup. One caregiver or relative sits beside the resident. No family preparation, no life story in advance.

The five-minute targetEach clock is one minute
1 · What is your name?Greeted by name from the first moment
2 · What music do you like?Folk songs, classical, Schlager, jazz
3 · What do you enjoy doing?Hobbies give the music a context that grows with daily use
Then: the first musicShaped by the answers

Residents listen, choose and shape it through simple controls, without musical skills. Nothing is presented as a memory the resident has not shared.

What each side gets

Music is the start. The purpose is broader: residents choose, express themselves and take part using the abilities they have.

ResidentsKeep using their abilities and remain involved

Music that reflects personal interests. Accessible choices that support participation. Mental stimulation through making music, even when musical abilities have declined.

CaregiversLess device and app friction

A ready device in a consistent place. One charger. Simple station controls. Expected, and measured in the pilot as caregiver minutes.

How homes pay

One monthly managed bundle per station. Bands and price are tested with the first homes; nothing here is a quote.

Capacity package LSeveral stations or a whole home
Minimum term12 months, billed monthly. Each square is one month.

The outlined square is the first pilot: mainly free. The filled squares are paid continuation after the home has seen the value. Monthly billing does not mean monthly cancellation.

What we expect, and will measure

Benefits are expectations until a pilot shows them. We count participation, not app launches.

Participation

Weekly residents with a meaningful, voluntary choice, expression or contribution enabled by Tante Anne, confirmed by the resident or a caregiver observation.

Mental stimulation

Opportunities to use attention, memory and creative expression through active music.

Wellbeing

Musical enjoyment and emotional wellbeing, reported by residents and observed by staff.

Total caregiver effort

Device search, charger handling, steps to start, help needed and total caregiver minutes, against ordinary practice.

What we do not claim

Three things this page is not saying.

Not a treatment

Tante Anne does not treat dementia or slow its progression.

Not a replacement for people

It does not replace human contact, staffing or professional care.

Not a time-saving promise

Time savings become a promise only after they have been measured in a home.

Four people in Austria

Drawn in the manner of the Vienna Method of pictorial statistics from the 1920s: one symbol for one unit, counted rather than scaled.

We listen. We learn. Together, we make music more accessible. Partners: pilot homes and care teams, hardware supplier and SIM providers, music technology and content rights.
